【论文简介】
This study examines the impact of China’s "Three Importances and One Greatness" collective decision-making policy, implemented in 2010, on state-owned enterprises’ (SOEs) green innovation. Using a difference-in-differences (DID) design with 2007–2014 data, we find the policy significantly enhances SOEs’ green innovation, increasing green patents granted by 23.98% on average. Mechanism tests reveal two key channels: inhibiting managerial myopia and boosting green investments. Heterogeneity analysis shows stronger effects in large-scale SOEs and those with high media attention. Our findings highlight how institutional reforms can drive sustainable innovation in SOEs, contributing to literature on corporate green behavior and policy impacts in emerging markets.
